Nuclear Medicine Technologist *On-Call* at Providence

Description

Performs Nuclear Medicine examinations for diagnostic and therapeutic (site specific) purposes under the direction of a physician. Prepares patient, prepares and administers prescribed dose of radioactive pharmaceuticals and non-radioactive pharmaceuticals, performs calculations and manipulates data according to established parameters. Ensures proper preparation and/or ordering of radioactive material, calibrates equipment, assures appropriate quality control, monitors patients and performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• Oregon Nuclear Medicine Technologist upon hire. Or,
• Oregon Nuclear Medicine Technologist Temporary upon hire. Or,
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire. Or,
• National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology within 6 months of hire. Or,
• National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board within 6 months of hire.
• New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire.
• New graduates must be board eligible and obtain certification ARRT(N) or NMTCB within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years - Clinical experience as Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
