Responsibilities:

• Perform Nuclear Medicine Procedures: Conduct a variety of nuclear medicine scans and procedures, including bone scans, cardiac stress tests, thyroid scans, and PET scans.
• Prepare and Administer Radiopharmaceuticals: Safely and accurately prepare and administer radioactive medications to patients.
• Image Acquisition and Processing: Operate imaging equipment, capture high-quality images, and process them for interpretation by physicians.
• Patient Care: Provide compassionate care to patients, explaining procedures and addressing any concerns. Monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Radiation Safety: Follow strict radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
• Quality Control: Perform quality control checks on equipment and procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine training program.
• Certification and Licensure:
  • Upon hire: National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or National Registered Technologist (NMT).
  • Upon hire: California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
