Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our partner medical center in Fullerton, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

Hiring Bonus: $10,000 for eligible external hires

Responsibilities:

• Perform nuclear medicine procedures, including cardiac stress tests, bone scans, thyroid scans, and other diagnostic imaging studies.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients, ensuring proper dosages and safety precautions.
• Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment, such as gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners, to capture high-quality images.
• Process and analyze imaging data to produce accurate results for physician interpretation.
• Maintain meticulous patient records and documentation, ensuring compliance with privacy and confidentiality regulations.
• Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols and regulations to protect both patients and staff.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and radiologists, to provide comprehensive patient care.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Associate's Degree
• Training: Completion of training at an approved, accredited Nuclear Medicine Program.
• Continuing Education: Must maintain required continuing education hours for license/certification renewal.

    • National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) OR National Registered Technologist (NRT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology
    • California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification
    • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
