Job Skills and Technical Skills: The Nuclear Medicine Technologist provides healthcare services using radionuclides to assist in diagnosis and treatment. This role requires advanced skills in performing a wide variety of nuclear medicine procedures, computer data processing, and other technical tasks necessary to produce diagnostic images.

Description: The Nuclear Medicine Technologist, under the guidance of licensed practitioners, performs a range of nuclear medicine procedures and technical tasks. Responsibilities include computer processing of imaging data, ensuring quality control of equipment, and maintaining patient records. Professional judgment and adherence to medical ethics are paramount in delivering compassionate care.

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of an AMA approved radiologic technologist training program.
• National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board upon hire.
• California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• 6 months of recent experience in nuclear medicine, or 2 years of full-time experience with a gap of no more than 1 year.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine (not required if recent graduate from an approved technician training program).
