Job Summary:
Responsible for assisting in the supervision and for performing all functions relating to the effective operation of the restaurant by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accommodates and documents the needs of guests and communicates these needs to the staff.
- Books and oversees the preparation of large parties and catering.
- Orders food, beverages, and other supplies as needed.
- Assists with stocking inventory as required.
- Oversees and monitors portion control standards of food and beverages for the staff.
- Resolves guest and/or employee problems or complaints in a timely manner.
- Controls and counts all charge and cash purchases at the end of each meal period.
- Maintains a program for sound employee relations and safety of all employees.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Orientates new employees and provides initial on-the-job training.
- Oversees training functions of the staff.
- Assists in establishing and controlling weekly work schedule for staff.
- Develops and maintains an effective restaurant through the selection, training, compensation, motivation, termination and review of staff.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Prior management experience required.
