We are seeking a dynamic and experienced NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving new product introductions from concept through to launch, ensuring that all engineering and manufacturing processes are optimized for high-volume production. This role is critical to our organization's success and will play a key role in ensuring the highest quality and efficiency standards are met.
Responsibilities:
As an NPI Engineer, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
1. Lead the planning and execution of new product introductions, ensuring that all engineering, manufacturing, and quality processes are optimized for high-volume production.
2. Implement and manage the Stage Gate Process, ensuring that all new products are introduced on time, within budget, and meet all quality standards.
3. Utilize SPC (Statistical Process Control), Minitab, and SAP to analyze and improve manufacturing processes, identify areas of improvement, and implement process improvement projects.
4. Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure that all products are designed and manufactured to the highest quality standards.
5. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, to ensure that all new products are introduced smoothly and efficiently.
6. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the successful introduction of new products.
7. Provide technical support and training to manufacturing and quality teams, ensuring that all team members are up-to-date on the latest manufacturing processes and quality standards.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the NPI Engineer position should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering role, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
2. Proven experience with SPC, Minitab, SAP, GD&T, and the Stage Gate Process.
3. Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of leading successful process improvement projects.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to analyze complex data and identify areas of improvement.
5. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
6. A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required. A master's degree or relevant professional certifications are a plus.
