Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Palliative Care Opportunity in Greenville, NC

ECU Health Physicians and the ECU Health Palliative Care team, located in Greenville North Carolina, are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their established Hospice and Palliative Care team to provide compassionate end of life care to patients and families. Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Hospice and/or palliative care experience is preferred.

· Hospital privileges at ECU Health Medical Center

· Flexible clinical schedule that includes:

o (4) 10 hour shifts per week with rotating weekends

o Daily team huddles

o Rounding on the Palliative Care Unit

o Providing inpatient consults on all units at ECU Health Medical Center

o Coordinating general inpatient care enrollment for the palliative care unit

· 16-bed Palliative Care Unit

· Shared call for nights and weekends

· Interdisciplinary care team approach

· Applicants will be required to have ACLS and BLS certification

· Ability to live only an hour away from the beautiful beaches of the North Carolina coast

Clinical Responsibilities:

· Perform clinical assessments and consultations in acute care setting

· Complete patient admission and discharges

· Perform daily clinical rounds on inpatient units

· Develop and update patient plans of care

· Provide clinical support for the unit and field staff

· Direct/participate in family conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings

· Participate in agency Quality Improvement and Patient/Family Experience activities
