Roles and Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced machine tool operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work with complex machinery.
**Key Responsibilities:**
• Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling and automated Fiber and Tape Placement machines to produce precision composite parts.
• Retrieve and download CNC programs to machine controller
• Set machine coordinates or index points per CNC documents. Adjust offset/compensations, tool heights and laser, using controller keyboard and or pendant as required.
• Monitor machine during operation for unusual vibration or sounds, watch machine gauges and controller display or digital readout for warnings. Visually check for clearance to ensure smooth operation of the machine.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the appropriate machine operations and sequences.
• Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet specifications using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
• Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
• Test operation of machines periodically
• Fix issues that might occur during the shift
• Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
• Maintain activity logs
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in machining or a related field is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• 2+ years of experience working hands-on in a production assembly line environment
• 2+ years of experience in production operations with an understanding of manufacturing processes and procedures
• 3+ years of experience in machining, robotics, or numerical control programming
• 1+ years of experience in composites
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Experience with CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines is a plus.
• Experience in troubleshooting systems, and root cause and corrective action analysis
• Strong understanding of machining techniques and materials, including metals and composites
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
**Physical Requirements:**
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects, typically up to 50 lbs.
• Standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks.
• Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
*****2nd shift 4/10 Monday – Thursday and 3/10 shift Friday - Sunday****
Must have a valid driver's license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.

The pay range for this position is $30.00-$37.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
