Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Senior Biosolids Technology Specialist to join our Water/Wastewater Engineering team based out of our Conshohocken or Philadelphia, PA or Chelmsford, MA office locations. The selected candidate will become part of an established Wastewater engineering practice within AECOM’s Northeast Region and lead AECOM’s response to growing Biosolids challenges in our in the marketplace.
The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with municipal Biosolids process evaluation, design, equipment integration, project delivery, and plant commissioning. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate to step into a leadership role in an established wastewater business and work with AECOM’s local and national wastewater specialists.
Responsibilities will include:
- Lead AECOM Northeast Region biosolids strategy.
- Supports, oversees, and coordinates engineering activities in the area of Biosolids Technology.
- Mentoring and guiding staff and project managers on technical solutions in the area of Biosolids Technology on projects.
- Understanding project requirements and recommend solutions required in the in the area of Biosolids Technology.
- Leading design pursuits in the Northeast Region in the area of Biosolids Technology.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- BS in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, and 8+ years of demonstrated experience in Biosolids Technology.
- Professional Engineers License.
- Previous experience preparing process design criteria for anaerobic digestion system.
- Previous experience in leading the biosolids handling portion for municipal wastewater treatment plant expansion and upgrade design and construction projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in civil, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 12+ years of demonstrated experience in Biosolids Technology.
- Strong background in the development and application of Biosolids Technology such as:
- Municipal water and wastewater facilities operations and troubleshooting experience.
- Market knowledge in the Northeastern United States
- Enhanced/advanced anaerobic digestion.
- Incineration technologies
- Biosolids drying and energy recovery.
- Biosolids gasification process
- Thermal Hydrolysis Process
- Odor Control Technology
- Combined Heat & Power Technologies
- PFAS Impacted Biosolids Treatment and Management
