Position Overview: Nonprofit Bookkeeper
We are expanding rapidly and seeking a dedicated Nonprofit Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional client service while managing multiple accounts with precision and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly close processes in QuickBooks Online for clients
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and payment platforms
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliations
- Manage fundraising database reconciliations
- Prepare journal entries and process payroll
- Manage receipt and 1099 preparation
- Enter budgets and track restricted grants in QBO
- Implement and suggest improvements in QuickBooks Online for clients
- Generate customized financial reports and dashboards
- Communicate effectively with clients via email and Zoom
- Support CFOs with data entry and financial analysis
- Utilize tools like Keeper, Slack, and email for organization tasks
- Collaborate with the team to enhance processes and share successes
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper in the nonprofit sector
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Google Sheets/Excel
- Familiarity with audit support and grant allocations
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
