About the Job
Join our client’s NOC team as a NOC Analyst I, an entry-level role critical for maintaining optimal network performance, availability, and quality of service for both residential and commercial subscribers. This position demands proficiency in desktop and server management, understanding wired and wireless networks, utilizing ticketing and network management systems, and ideally, experience in a Help Desk or similar environment.
Expectations are to participate in shift rotations, mainly evening and overnight, and be available for non-standard hours including holidays and weekends as needed.

Day to Day:
- Address and resolve trouble tickets including escalations, alarms, incidents, and service requests
- Monitor network performance using NMS and other tools to identify and resolve issues such as packet loss and latency
- Develop strategies for network issue resolution, produce network system documentation, and create instructional materials for issue resolution and network enhancement
- Use data from SNMP, NetFlow, and custom scripts to build dashboards that offer insights into network performance based on defined metrics or SLAs
- Configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain network equipment including routers, switches, and security devices
- Communicate effectively to ensure rapid resolution of network alarms and issues
- An associate degree in Networking or a related field
- At least 1 year of experience in a support role within a dynamic support environment
- Familiarity with network hardware, protocols, and applications
- Knowledge of ticket escalation, problem management, and change management processes
- Exceptional punctuality and the ability to maintain a 24x7x365 operational schedule
- Experience in a startup or ISP environment, particularly with triple-play services
- Familiarity with Ethernet, coaxial, and fiber optic cabling, as well as passive optical networks
- Professional certifications like CCNA, Network+, Security+, or similar
- Basic scripting or coding skills for network automation and dashboard creation
