Essential Functions:
In this role, you will have a variety of responsibilities that contribute to the success of the production department. These include but are not limited to:
- Shift Operations Management: Review production schedules to plan shift operations and ensure the production team meets output goals.
- Production Coordination: Oversee the manufacturing activities to ensure products are produced on time and meet quality specifications.
- Process Inspection: Regularly inspect production processes to ensure proper handling of materials and operation of equipment.
- Team Assignments: Assign workers to specific tasks based on their expertise and the requirements of production methods, processes, machines, and equipment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Schedule and arrange for the maintenance of equipment when needed to ensure seamless production.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure product safety, legality, regulatory compliance, and quality standards are consistently met.
- Employee Leadership: Lead and train shift personnel, fostering a safe and efficient work environment.
- Safety & Welfare: Promote the safety and welfare of employees, ensuring a safe working environment in line with company policies and safety rules.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure finished products meet productivity and quality standards while controlling waste and improving efficiency.
- Housekeeping & Maintenance: Implement good housekeeping practices and support preventive maintenance activities.
- Continuous Improvement: Follow company procedures to meet quality objectives and support ongoing operational improvements.
To succeed in this role, you will bring the following expertise:
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to set performance and professionalism standards for your team.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of press and ink room operations, including plate mounting skills and the ability to set up and fine-tune presses.
- Process Efficiency: Familiarity with the company's specification system and a working knowledge of production processes and equipment.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical thinking with the ability to measure processes and efficiency using basic math and statistical skills.
- Required:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in production or process operations.
- Strong analytical skills, including basic math and statistical skills to measure processes and efficiency.
- Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree, associate degree, or equivalent experience in a related field.
