About the Job
Main responsibilities of a Manager in Charge - Applicant must be at least 19 in order to scan alcohol.
To run the total store when the Store Manager and Assistant Manager are absent. A typical schedule would include closing the store 4-5 nights per week.
Position Accountabilities:
- Follow and enforce all company policies and programs.
- Complete regular store walks, beginning with the outside and continuing through all grocery and perishable departments inside. Departments must be fully stocked and ready for sales.
- Ensure the total store is organized and clean, inside and outside.
- Ensure the total store is merchandised to company standards.
- Report any and all associate or guest problems or concerns to the Store Manager.
- Train and develop associates for future company needs, and hold all associates accountable for doing their jobs.
- Perform and accurately complete ordering functions.
- Main pricing accuracy.
- Be available to guests and associates.
- Follow up on jobs you delegate.
- Utilize your staff to have the store up to the Assistant Manager and Store Manager's standards before you leave at night.
Requirements:
May be asked to carry 50 lbs. for a length of 20 feet
May need to be able to push 50 lbs.
May need to be able to pull 50 lbs.
Must be able to bend, squat, climb and lift objects overhead
Must be able to tolerate temperature differentials
Must be able to work nights, holidays and weekends
