About the Job
- NEW 508 Tester will serve as the advocate for accessibility, a resource for colleagues who need to develop accessible products, and provides outreach and training for project managers, web designers, developers and content providers
- Applies specific functional knowledge, working/general industry knowledge
- As a NEW 508 Tester, you will develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity
- Works independently with some guidance; may review or guide activities of more junior employees
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 2-4+ years of directly related experience or Master's degree and 0-2+ years of directly related experience; Years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree for certain roles; Certifications may be accepted in lieu of a degree for certain technical roles
- 2+ years of experience with 508 testing
- Experience with 508 testing using JAWS, Dragon, CCA, ZoomText, or Keyboard
- Experience with WCAG 2.0 A/AA standards, 508 testing of Information Communications Technology, and 508 troubleshooting and coding
- Experience with 508 vendors on existing platform or assistive technology tickets
- Experience working with teams for the approval of the product acceptance, including product security, performance testing, vulnerability testing, reliability, and fault tolerance testing
- Experience managing test data architecture definition and requests
- Ability to perform initial debugging on test failures and read through the code
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
