Responsibilities
A Physician Assistant is a crucial member of the healthcare team who works under the supervision of a licensed physician. Their role is multifaceted and involves a range of clinical and administrative responsibilities aimed at providing high-quality patient care. hysician Assistant Associates work in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, primary care practices, specialty offices, and urgent care centers. They play a vital role in expanding access to healthcare services, improving patient outcomes, and supporting the overall efficiency of the healthcare delivery system
- Provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients under supervision and responsibility of a Physician.
- Gathers complete history of patients and perform complete physical examinations or focused physical examinations for specific complaints. Completes discharge summaries and maintains documentation on patient visits
- Conducts daily patient rounds, as needed
- Recognizes and evaluates situations which require immediate attention of supervising physician and which require treatment procedures essential for life of patients; responds in appropriate manner.
- Coordinates with supervising physician regarding patients seen such as sees patients in physician's office and hospital, instructs and counsels patients on health and disease issues based on assessment data
- Follows up with patient by phone (post treatment). Coordinates resources to facilitate care for out-of-town patients
- Prescribes and dispenses drugs and medical devices in accordance with regulations
- Monitors effectiveness of therapeutic interventions and makes appropriate referrals when necessary.
- Secures patient health illness and psychological history by ordering, performing and interpreting appropriate laboratory, radiographic and other diagnostic tests.

Qualifications
Minimum:
3 years clinical experience in related area.
Background in pre-med. Degree as a Physician Assistant.
PA-C
DEA:AZ
Certification as Physician Assistant from Arizona Joint Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners, PA:AZ
Credentialed as allied health professional with CRMC and MGMC.
Pay Range
$51.66 - $86.79/hour
