Job Details
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Neurosciences Registered Nurse to join our dynamic and fast-paced healthcare team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in our state-of-the-art Neuroscience unit, providing top-notch care for patients with neurological disorders. This position is full-time nights, with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week. In recognition of the commitment and expertise required for this role, we offer a generous sign-on bonus to the successful candidate.
Responsibilities:
As a Neurosciences Registered Nurse, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Providing comprehensive and compassionate care to patients suffering from a wide range of neurological conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, and multiple sclerosis.
2. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of neurologists, neurosurgeons, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective patient care plans.
3. Monitoring and assessing patients' health conditions and responses to treatments, adjusting the care plans as needed.
4. Administering medications, providing treatments, and performing various nursing procedures as prescribed by physicians.
5. Educating patients and their families about neurological disorders, treatment plans, and self-care skills.
6. Participating in research activities and staying updated with the latest advancements in neurosciences.
7. Ensuring the maintenance of accurate and detailed patient records.
8. Adhering to all nursing best practices, standards, and protocols, as well as hospital policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. A valid RN license.
2. A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, with a focus on neurosciences.
3. BLS certification.
4. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
5. Exceptional clinical skills with the ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
6. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
7. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
8. Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
9. A commitment to continual learning and professional development in the field of neurosciences.
