Chenega Supply Chain Solutions (CSCS), a Chenega Professional Services Strategic Business Unit company, is looking for a Subject Matter Expert - Neurologist to support the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), within the Health Systems Bureau (HSB) and its Health Research Services Administration (HRSA), in support of the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP).

Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert on issues related to neurological disorders.
- Analyze medical records, consult on complex cases, and provide in-depth knowledge and expertise to inform decision-making for the medical reviewers.
- Support the Contractor project team’s efforts to provide medical eligibility determination recommendations via a medical report in alignment with the Government provided training and instruction.
- Contribute to the enhancement of all work provided in medical eligibility and medical report writing.
- Work closely with the Government and Contractor team trainers, physicians, and nurse practitioners.
- Support management, administration, data, communication, and other CICP related needs in the Injury Compensation System.
- Support reviewing and recommending project wide communication, data, administration, and management related enhancements of the CICP program.
- Support reviewing and recommending enhancements to materials produced by the CICP program and Contractor project team as directed.
- Support the CSCS Program Manager and Project Manager’s efforts to provide daily and effective contact and communication with the HRSA CICP Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), Contracting Officer (CO), Contracting Specialist (CS), CICP Program leadership, and other associated government stakeholders as assigned.
- Support the project team’s interface and communication with the CSCS Program Manager, corporate CSCS leadership, and Chenega Professional Services Strategic Business Unit (PSSBU) stakeholders.
- Help develop project related products and processes that enable the inspiring, innovative, and effective oversight of the contract performance, quality, and consistency.
- Contribute to the identification, development, and deployment of enhancements of Contractor initiatives and solutions that enhance contract performance, quality, and value.
- Work closely with the assigned Project Manager to support the development, submission, and approval of assigned contract deliverables, based on contract designated Contract Deliverable Requirements List [CDRL] and other program documentation, reports, and other communication related artifacts identified in the contract and/or via direct request from the CICP program CO and/or COR.
- Participate in the development and execution of appropriate Risk Management processes and procedures, which contribute to the mitigation and elimination of program risks, problems, and concerns, before and/or as they arise.
- Coordinate appropriately with CSCS and government stakeholders as assigned and directed.
Qualifications
- Education and Certifications: Medical degree with board certification in neurology.
- Professional Background: Relevant experience in claims review, healthcare administration, or related fields.
- Licensure: Must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
- Professional Background: Relevant experience in neurology and technical writing.
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience medical consultation support to a busy and complex workplace environment.
- Must have experience supporting healthcare related case management and/or claims management program knowledge, leadership, and/or support experience.
- Must have experience in claims review, healthcare administration, or related fields.
- Must have strong technical writing skills.
- Must have experience working with management to prioritize business and information needs.
- Must have experience supporting the development of communication products and processes as well as the innovative and effective use of data and data analysis to support project research and analysis work environments.
- High writing skills and competencies is desired.
- Must reside in the U.S. and be eligible to undergo a government security clearance investigation.
- Able to undergo background check processing for and obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
- Active transferable Common Access Card is not required but preferred.
- Active Public Trust security clearance is not required but preferred.
