Network Technician - Zachary Piper LLC

Piper Companies is seeking a Network Technician to join an established healthcare organization for a contract to hire opportunity. This position is a hybrid role and would require you to be able to commute to Center City Philadelphia. The Network Technician will be for a responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data networks, including LANs and WANs, to support organizational infrastructure needs.

Requirements for the Network Technician:

• Configure, test, maintain, and troubleshoot network hardware and systems, such as routers, switches, gateways, and firewalls.
• Investigate and resolve network-related issues and provide technical support for network design and enhancements.
• Document work processes and maintain required records for network configurations and troubleshooting.
• Participate in planning meetings with clients to align network infrastructure with project goals and timelines.
• Provide training, support, and guidance to clients and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues.

Qualifications for the Network Technician:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in data, voice, or video network support.
• Proficiency in working with multiple technical platforms (e.g., mainframe, client-server) and at least two network systems (e.g., Cisco, Nortel).
• Strong understanding of LAN and WAN systems and network infrastructure components.
• Experience in healthcare environments is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to isolate and resolve technical issues.
• Effective communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation for network support.
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Compensation for the Network Technician:

• Hourly Rate: $25-29.0 per hour ***depending on experience***
