About the Job
Troubleshoots network, system, hardware and software issues throughout the layers. Upgrades network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating and installing enhancements.
- Works closely with all IT functional areas to design and implement operational requirements for new and existing systems and projects.
- Maintains documentation of applications, systems and network equipment. Proactively recommends software and hardware enhancements.
- Co-Manages and maintains the VMware ESXi and Nutanix environment, including installation, configuration, and updates of virtual servers.
- Helps maintain the Credit Union's security posture and cyber security operations by communicating potential risks, assisting with security initiatives, and leading the systems side of the Incident Response Program.
- Stays up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in network and systems administration.
- Provides helpdesk support and escalation guidance for complex technical issues
Requirements:
- BS/BA degree in Information Systems Management or Computer Science or equivalent and three (3) years' experience within a Cisco infrastructure including: LAN/WAN network engineering (routers, L2-L3 switches, firewalls, wireless and IP protocols) and dynamic routing protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, SNMP, OSPF, etc.).
- CCNA certifications strongly preferred.
- Experience with Cisco switches, routers, VoIP, and firewall configurations
- Familiarity with enterprise firewall management (preferably Fortinet) and enterprise network management tools.
- Network knowledge with VLAN, VPN, DNS, IP, TCP, UDP, MAC addresses, IP packet traces, ACLs, routing tables
- Strong understanding of enterprise network and datacenter operations.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex routing and switching issues in both a LAN / WAN environment.
- Understanding of VMWare ESXi and Nutanix Environment.
- Proficiency in Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
- Strong understanding of Azure Cloud services, including VMs, Virtual Networks, Azure AD, and Azure Security.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with end-users and management in clear, understandable and concise terms
Schedule: 40 Hours/Week, Monday-Friday with on-call rotation
