Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Server Engineer to join our team in a dynamic test lab environment. The ideal candidate will design, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain network, server, and storage systems while supporting testing activities to ensure high performance and reliability. This role involves working with cutting-edge technologies, including storage arrays, NAS, SAN, CAS and advanced storage management platforms i.e. NetApp ONTAP and Dell EMC Unity Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
1. System Setup and Configuration:
o Design, configure, and maintain server and network infrastructure in the test lab environment.
o Install, configure, and manage various operating systems (Linux, Windows, etc.) and server applications.
o Implement and configure virtualized environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, or containerization platforms like Docker/Kubernetes).
2. Storage Systems and Array Management:
o Configure, integrate, and manage multiple storage types, including:
NAS (Network Attached Storage): Deployment, configuration, and management for file-level access.
SAN (Storage Area Network): Implementation of Fibre Channel or iSCSI solutions for block-level access.
CAS (Content-Addressable Storage): Deployment and management of solutions such as Amazon S3-compatible systems, OpenStack Swift, or Ceph.
o Manage advanced storage arrays and systems, ensuring performance optimization, scalability, and reliability.
3. Advanced Storage Platform Management:
o NetApp ONTAP:
Configure, manage, and troubleshoot NetApp storage solutions.
Implement data protection, deduplication, and efficient provisioning using ONTAP tools.
Monitor performance, manage snapshots, and ensure high availability.
o Dell EMC Unity Manager:
Configure, manage, and monitor Unity storage arrays.
Optimize storage pools, ensure data protection through replication, and perform proactive troubleshooting.
Leverage Unity Manager to provide detailed insights into storage usage and system health.
4. Network Management:
o Configure and manage switches, routers, firewalls, and other network hardware.
o Install new hardware and upload newer versions of code, scan for vulnerabilities and hand over to network engineer for implementation
o Design and implement test networks to simulate real-world scenarios.
o Ensure network security protocols are in place for lab environments.
5. Testing Support:
o Collaborate with QA, development, and R&D teams to facilitate testing of software, hardware, and systems.
o Troubleshoot issues encountered during tests and assist in root cause analysis.
o Provide performance monitoring, reporting, and optimization during test cycles.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
o Define new customer requirements and work with purchasing for order placing.
o Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting processes for test setups.
o Maintain detailed records of lab equipment, network diagrams, and storage configurations, including ONTAP and Unity systems.
o Generate reports on lab activities, test results, and storage performance as required.
7. Lab Maintenance:
o Monitor and ensure the availability of lab resources, including servers, network devices, and storage systems.
o Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on lab infrastructure, including storage arrays.
o Coordinate hardware procurement and asset management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience:
o 3+ years of experience as a network/server engineer, with exposure to test lab environments preferred.
o Hands-on experience with NAS, SAN, CAS and storage arrays.
o Proven expertise with NetApp ONTAP and Dell EMC Unity Manager.
• Technical Skills:
o Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, etc.).
o Proficiency in server operating systems and virtualization technologies.
o Familiarity with network tools (Wireshark, NetFlow, etc.) and monitoring systems.
o Experience with scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
o Deep understanding of storage technologies, including provisioning, snapshots, deduplication, and replication.
o Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00
