Network Security Engineer with Security Clearance - ManTech International

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Security Engineer t o join our team in the Washington, DC. This position supports a 24/7/365 service operations. You will have the option of two different shifts (1st or 2nd). Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Provide network security for the customer's LAN environment, Remote Access, site to site VPNs, Wireless, TIC and support for the WAN to include but not limited to upgrades, patches, etc.
* Manage, monitor and implement physical as well as cloud-based firewalls, proxies, VPN concentrators, and related network security and protection technologies.
* Manage and monitor the Cisco ISE solution and environment for identity management.
* Develop, implement, and sustain network operating rules, objects, and flows across the customer environment. Use Fortigate to secure and monitor firewalls.
* Critically analyzes network infrastructure to find opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce the security threat profile.
* Implement, operate, configure, maintain, and replace (as needed) the Internal Proofpoint Mail Servers
* Collaborate with groups to support the Zscaler environment and customer's TIC.
* Collaborate with analysts, engineers, data scientists to deliver continuous improvement in cyber defense/resilience.
* Work with and provide guidance to Security Operations Center and other Information Security team activities on security strategies, processes, response, and technologies.
* Provide support to Incident Response on security incidents including mock security incident exercises.
* Perform effective escalation of problems, identify issues and determine efficient and effective resolutions.
* Participate in audits covering network security services and technologies.
* Participate in on-call after hours coverage Basic Qualifications: * A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
* 2+ years of network security experience.
* Hands on experience in managing and monitoring network security; hands on experience using tools such as Cisco ISE, Fortigate (Fortinet, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager); and Zscaler.
* Demonstrated experience working with STIGs, firewalls, proxies, Cisco network devices, vulnerability scanning tools, and FISMA requirements and findings.
* Demonstrated experience conducting network security audits.
* Demonstrated experience contributing to network security incident response. Preferred Qualifications: * Proficient with ServiceNow Clearance Requirements: * Must be a U.S. citizen
* Must be able to obtain a Public Trust; prefer an active Secret or TS clearance. Physical Requirements: * Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time * Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel * Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer * The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations * The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
