Network Security Administrator at Precision Resources

Precision Resources, a division of the Trimarc Group Inc., is currently seeking an experienced Network Security Administrator to join a client in Dothan, Alabama.  This is a full-time, permanent position that will require someone to work onsite each day at their Dothan headquarters. 

Position Summary:

Reporting directly to the Manager of Communications, the Network Security Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of a multi-site, multi-data center network security. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge in enterprise LAN/WAN networks and strive to maintain a thorough understanding of industry best practices and concepts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise grade Zero Trust Server and network segmentation in large scale, multi-site, multi-datacenter network across multiple geographic locations using common LAN/WLAN/WAN technologies.
• Responsible for deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise grade endpoint and Site-to-Site VPN.
• Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise grade policy servers in conjunction with network and port security.
• Ensure enterprise stability by monitoring network performance and integrity.
• Manage, configure, and maintain advanced monitoring solutions both internally and externally, working with customers to poll, monitor, and alert critical systems.
• Troubleshoot and coordinate vendor efforts to remediate network and voice performance issues and outages, schedule upgrades and collaborate with vendors on system optimization.
• Maintain a working relationship with Level-1 and Level-2 Technical Support staff to ensure service issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Working as a team with intermediate cabling and hardware infrastructure design and implementation to support network upgrades and expansion. Hands-on implementation requires ability to perform network structured cabling for existing or new build outs.
• Assist and work closely with the Data Center Administrator in projects and network systems to include but not limited to firewalls, data center grade switches and technologies in creating a more secure and robust infrastructure.
• Assist Physical Security Administrator with physical security infrastructure technologies, door and gate controls, intercoms, cameras, and related technologies.
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Qualifications (Skills Required):

• Ability to analyze and recognize opportunities that support organizational development and align with organizational goals. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement solutions and push through challenges to ensure success.
• A well-developed understanding of network, server, and storage infrastructure design along with best practices and installation requirements as well as the procedures for troubleshooting issues and performing routine maintenance to ensure Infrastructure SLA of 5 9s uptime year over year.
• Knowledgeable in LAN/WAN/WLAN technologies and protocols: MPLS, SD-WAN, VPN, P2P, TCP/IP, EIGRP, BGP, HSRP, NAT, STP, QoS, etc.
• Experienced in designing, installing, and maintaining Zero-trust software and network hardware including but not limited to: Illumio, Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto Brands.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills for interfacing with end-users to effectively troubleshoot issues and utilize external vendors to assist with support of infrastructure.

Education and/or Experience:

• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years industry experience designing, implementing, and supporting Zero-trust platforms and network security and monitoring.
• Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Cisco Security or Security Certifications preferred.

• Physical Demands - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move network equipment either alone or with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
