Network Operations Intern- Irvine, CA

Panasonic Avionics Corporation seeks motivated Network Operations Intern to join our growing IT team in our Irvine, CA, office. This paid internship will start in June and continue through August 2025, with an opportunity to potentially continue through the school year.

The hourly wage range for this position is $26- $38. The final offer amount may vary and is based on the candidates' year in school. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.

Responsibilities:

Work with senior Network Engineers on one or more large deployment projects with global impact (site switching upgrade, site wireless upgrade, configuration management tools deployment, etc.). Tasks include creating documentation, designing configurations, pre-configuration of hardware, operational/functional testing, etc.
Practical operational experience in a distributed, global, enterprise-level network environment with modern hardware and software. Project management and change management experience. Mentorship from senior level network engineers and network architects.
More efficient completion of major projects with full suite documentation. Faster turnaround on other business requests with shorter timeframe which occur during the internship period, including new site turn ups, for example.

Qualifications:

Degrees (any of the following or similar) or senior standing within these programs:

- BS, Engineering Technology, Computer Systems Network Management focus

- BS, Computer Science (CompSci), Networking & Data Communications focus

- BS, Applied Cybersecurity & Network Operations

- BS, Computer Information Systems (CIS), Cybersecurity focus

- BA, Network & Digital Technology

As an alternative, both certifications from Cisco listed below (non-expired) along with at least an associates degree from an accredited community college could be considered:

- Certified Cisco Network Associate (CCNA)

- Certified Cisco Network Associate (CCNP)
