Network Infrastructure Engineer (Fortinet) - Judge Group

Location: Elmhurst, IL
Salary: $90,000.00 USD Annually - $120,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Network Infrastructure Engineer (Fortinet)

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• 40% Solutions Architecture

  • Partner with Enterprise Engineering department to design, engineer, test, and implement secure network infrastructure solutions (both on-premise and cloud-based).
  • Design all solutions in line with industry and security best practices, as well as any additional requirements set forth by the project.
  • Design solutions based in Fortinet, Cisco Meraki, Azure networking, and other technologies as defined by project needs.

  30% Infrastructure and Network Management

  • Manage network infrastructure solutions, both internally and for Clients.
  • Proactively evaluate capacity and security needs of network infrastructure.
  • Provide expert consultation and troubleshooting support for network solutions and configurations.
  • Ad hoc involvement in rolling out projects, as directed and authorized.

  20% Documentation and Communication

  • Manage infrastructure and network documentation, including Network Diagrams.
  • Partner with members of Enterprise Engineering department to manage Engineering ticket queue.
  • Follow ticket, documentation, project scope, and Client communication protocols to ensure integrations and deployments run smoothly.

  10% Professional Development

  • Participate in company-sponsored activities to further your skills in line with Company and Client needs.

Education & Experience

• Associate’s Degree
• 3+ years’ experience in network engineering in Microsoft-based environments
• 2+ years’ experience with Fortinet solutions

Technical Skills

• High proficiency with Fortinet / FortiNACnetwork solutions.
• Network engineering in Microsoft-based environments (Azure networking, etc.)
