The Swift Group is looking for a Network Engineer to support a technology-based program supporting a key government customer.
This program will deliver engineering services for network infrastructure as well as sophisticated enterprise computing infrastructure including end-point devices, data center hosted servers, multi-Cloud services as well as virtualized applications, and storage systems.
Enterprise Computing Engineering services include modern application technology including containerized solutions with orchestrated workflow that function both on customer premise, and via remote Cloud services.
Network infrastructure engineering services are comprised of core infrastructure, voice and video engineering, field engineering, application management and development for networks, network analytics, firewalls, network access controls and bandwidth service delivery.
The role is located on onsite in Herndon, VA and requires a TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
Required Qualifications:
• 11+ years of relevant experience in infrastructure engineering, with expertise in the following areas:
• TCP/IP transport network design and engineering, network routing protocols, advanced virtual networking technologies
• Expert level experience with network routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP and ISIS
• Ability to design and implement Enterprise Core devices to include lifecycle replacement and re-architecture
• Ability to translate customer requirements into enterprise network solutions
• Deep understanding of Network Architecture solutions
• Experience with Data Center infrastructure solutions: Cisco Fabric, path and NX-OS, VPC, Switch-ID's
• Ability to perform upgrades and routine network operations and maintenance at a Tier 4 support level
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot LAN, WAN and VPN technologies with some cloud networking
• Experience with various Cisco IOS versions to include IOS-XE, IOS-XR and NX-OS
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required Desired Qualifications:
• Experience with a wide variety of network technologies and solutions architectures Broad understanding of technical principles, theories and concepts in the networking field
• Knowledge of state-of-the-art systems engineering principles and network design concepts
• Cloud Service Provider and hybrid cloud experience (extending on-premise networks to cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, Oracle and Google) Continuous integration, test automation and/or SecDevOps on iterative development projects

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00 Pay ranges are a general guideline and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening.
Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.
