Network Engineer at Robins Financial Credit Union

About the Job
What You’ll Do:
- Manage all network equipment, lead all new implementations and continually maintain software updates.
- Work with credit union staff to determine needs and define system scope and develop cost analysis and develop project plan and assign responsibilities and assure timely completion.
- Assure all aspects of network infrastructures are secure, stable and reliable.
- Ensures network security access and protects against unauthorized access, modifications, or destruction.
- Manage the voice systems for the Credit Union to include all Call Centers.
- Firewall/Network review and monitoring.
- Inventory of all equipment attached to the RFCU network.
- Primary contact for all 3rd party connections and VPN devices.
- Maintain overall Network uptime.
- Review, oversee and/or perform all tasks necessary to assure network projects are developed, tested, assured of quality and implemented in accordance with generally practiced procedures
- Test, configure and install systems and hardware & software; evaluate success of installation
- Documentation of all network devices and data connections.
- Manage vendor relationship with Data and Internet Service providers.
- Train appropriate staff on use of technology and determine what areas of expertise are needed to maintain technical proficiency for upcoming projects.
- Contributes to the team effort.

- Maintain level of technical proficiency.

What You Need To Succeed:
- BS/BA college degree in an information technology discipline. If no degree, 5 years relevant work experience.
- 4 years progressive experience in a large diverse environment
Preferred Education, Certifications & Experience (addition to above):
- MS/MA Information Systems Degree
- CCT Cisco Certified Technician
- CCNA Cisco Certified Network Associate
Knowledge and Job Performance Requirements:
- Highly developed critical thinking capability
- Manage, update and document a detailed network
- Ability to develop and manage complex project plans (Project Management)
- Proven effective communications and interpersonal skills
- Manage Network and Voice equipment
- Basic understanding of Microsoft products: Server, Exchange, Active Directory, Windows Desktop and Server OS
- High level of understanding network protocols and routing.
- Familiar with firewalls and network security devices
