Key Responsibilities:
· Technical Support: Provide first-line and second-line technical support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues both remotely and onsite.
· System Monitoring: Monitor client systems and networks for optimal performance, utilizing tools for proactive maintenance and alerts.
· Incident Management: Manage and resolve incidents reported by clients, ensuring timely communication and updates throughout the resolution process.
· Documentation: Maintain accurate records of issues, solutions, and system configurations to enhance knowledge sharing.
· Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage backup solutions to ensure data integrity and assist with recovery procedures as needed.
· Client Onboarding: Assist in the onboarding process of new clients, including system setup, configuration, and training on services and tools.
· Network Administration: Support and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs to ensure secure and efficient connectivity.
· Security Management: Monitor and implement security measures to protect client systems from threats, including regular updates and vulnerability assessments.
· Onsite Support: Travel to client locations, including those based in NYC, to provide onsite support for complex issues.
· Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with other IT teams to coordinate efforts in delivering comprehensive solutions to clients. Communicate effectively within the Service, Sales, and Administration Teams
· Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to recommend enhancements to client systems and services.
· When issues arise, you troubleshoot live site issues to discover and drive solutions with minimal or no disruption to customers. You also perform testing and validation of network devices and demonstrate some knowledge of data. You know what data is needed and how to find new or missing data. You provide instructions to the data center on how to repair and maintain physical network hardware and take notes during incidents.
· You will participate in postmortem and root-cause analysis processes to continuously improve network reliability. You support innovation and cost management by developing new ideas for systems and tools that meet customer and/or business needs. You proactively share information across disciplines within your team promptly with an appropriate level of detail that is tailored to your audience. You provide feedback and some mentorship to other engineers, while also proactively seeking mentorship and feedback from others.

· Actively participate and contribute in team and company meetings.
Required qualifications:
· 4+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation.
o AND 4-year College/University Bachelor’s degree in any of the following:
§ Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
· 2+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation.
o AND Master’s degree in any of the following:
§ Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
· Networking:
o Solid understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies, with the ability to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues.
o Network architecture and design
o Routing protocols: OSPF, BGP
· Technical Skills: Proficient in IT support tools and ticketing systems; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users effectively.
· Process orientated: Ability to follow directions and policies precisely
· Experience and/or certifications in the following technologies:
o Microsoft Azure Active Directory / Entra ID
§ Proven experience in managing and troubleshooting Active Directory environments, including user management, group policies, and security settings.
o Microsoft 365:
§ Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 applications and services, particularly in troubleshooting issues related to Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
o Microsoft Terminal Services / Remote Desktop Services
o Infrastructure Security: Multi-Factor Authentication, Access control Lists/Security Gateways, Zero Trust
o External & Internal Monitoring: SNMP, NetFlow etc.
o Network hardware (SonicWALL, Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti, etc.)
· Not required, but nice to have:
o Microsoft Azure: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, with experience in deployment, management, and troubleshooting of Azure resources.
o Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD): Familiarity with AVD configuration and management, including user sessions, application deployment, and performance optimization.
o Azure Networking
o Microsoft Certification(s):
§ AZ-104, AZ-140, AZ-500, MS-500, AZ-700, AZ-800+801, AZ-305
o CompTIA Network+, Security+
o Cisco CCNA, CCNP, ECMS
About the work environment. . .
The majority of our team is based in our NYC office, which has an open, collaborative vibe. Sometimes, you'll have to be a good sport about things like carrying heavy items, crawling under office furniture, negotiate step ladders, etc. to do your job. We try to keep average hours to forty per week, but sometimes we have to respond to client emergencies or perform work outside our usual hours. You'll be part of an on-call rotation and may have to work the occasional weekend, evening, or overtime hours. But we try to keep all that to a minimum.
