About the Job
LATG is looking to hire a Network Engineer that can install multi-manufacturers hardware such as cables, switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless adaptors. Applicant will be expected to analyze network documentation and communicate to clients regarding the current operational status of networks. You will need to be able to prepare consultation, support, and guidance to organizations and clients; also develop and conduct training as needed. You will be expected to perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems; as well as upgrade network hardware and software components as required.
Qualifications
- Possess a minimum of 3+ years of L2/L3 networking design and implementation experience
- Experience with routing and switching including L2/L3 protocols
- Knowledge in the following areas: Ethernet, RSTP/ MSTP, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP
- Understanding of the networking technology landscape
- Experience with any of Cisco/Fortinet/Aruba networking
Responsibilities
Network Engineering:
- Responsible for telecommunications of physical layer fiber and copper cabling connectivity.
- Implementing and configuring routers, switches, and access points
- Implementing network security appliances
- Fulfill Network SME role for existing clients
- Responsible for network architecture and design of client networks
Network Security Architecture:
- Design, implement, and maintain network security architecture, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and secure access controls.
- Develop and enforce network segmentation strategies to isolate critical assets, applications, and sensitive data from potential threats.
- Conduct periodic reviews and assessments of network security controls to identify vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
Monitoring and Analysis:
- Deploy and configure security monitoring tools, such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), packet capture, and log analysis systems, to monitor network activities for security threats.
- Analyze security logs, alerts, and traffic patterns to identify potential security incidents, and anomalies.
