Network Engineer (Lab Environment)
Location: Westlake, TX
Duration: 12+ Months
Technologies/tools Supported: VXLAN, Segment Routing, MPLS-VPN, BGP, EBH, Timing, Routing Protocols, IPv4, IPv6, Multicast, QOS, VTS, DCNM, Fortinet Firewall
Platforms: Cisco, Nokia, Juniper
Description:
- The contractor will be responsible for and assist the Lab pre-production testing of various features/software/hardware. The contractor will help identify and troubleshoot issues ahead of time before the deployment and helps with the validation of the design in the lab environment providing valuable inputs such as design parameters tweaks or modification required.
- The contractor will assist with troubleshooting and root-causing the issues by collaborating with vendor teams such as TAC and architecture/design team. They support troubleshooting and identifying various software and hardware issues/defects and help validate fix/workarounds for the issues.
The contractor will also provide support on the vendors hardware/software that includes the following activities:
- MOP validation
- Software Upgrades
- Hardware Upgrades
- Configurations Support
- VTS Template creation and testing
- Design validation
- Lab Issue Troubleshooting support
- TAC/RMA support assistance and coordination for lab
- Failover/redundancy testing
- Production issue repro on the lab setup
- Lab Change window support
- Lab device Alarm clearing
Deliverables:
- Activity logs/reports
- Weekly updates on the activities/deliverables
