We are seeking a dynamic Network Engineer to join our team as a crucial front-line resource, providing expert support to our valued clients via email, phone, and on-site assistance. This role will play a vital part in designing, implementing, and maintaining diverse client environments, encompassing both physical and cloud-hosted solutions.
Responsibilities:
Deliver customer-centric support through phone, email, and on-site interactions.
Assist with equipment delivery, setup, and troubleshooting during on-site visits.
Engage in planning and design work for network infrastructure implementations.
Offer guidance on hardware and software requirements and specifications.
Implement and support various physical network components, including servers, firewalls, PCs, laptops, switches, access points, and more.
Lead or contribute to cloud-based (e.g., Azure) deployments and ongoing maintenance.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Office365 applications, desktop/laptop setups, and network problems.
Document detailed investigations and resolutions for all issues.
Collaborate on internal documentation and process improvement initiatives.
Provide remote and help desk support as needed.
Required Expertise:
Proficient in designing, building, migrating, and maintaining business networks and systems, including hardware setups.
Strong knowledge of Windows Servers, Active Directory, and DNS.
Experience with secure and redundant infrastructures, Microsoft Exchange, and email security/filtering solutions.
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and the ability to work on cloud-based deployments.
Proficiency in configuring and managing servers using PowerShell.
Administration, configuration, and maintenance of various VMware technologies.
Knowledge in administering and configuring NAS and SAN technologies from different vendors.
Expertise in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network equipment such as routers, firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and SSL-VPN setups from various vendors.
Experience with disaster recovery and backup solutions.
Desired Technical Knowledge:
Network infrastructure, including switching, routing, and wireless technologies.
Firewall and access point management.
Microsoft Office 365 applications, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
VMWare and Hyper-V virtualization platforms.
Structural/network cabling experience or knowledge.
Professional Service Automation (PSA) ticketing solutions.
Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) solutions.
Endpoint Detection Response (EDR) and Next-Generation Anti-Virus solutions.
Basic IP phone system, Wi-Fi, and printer knowledge.
