Overview
The on-site Network Engineer shall have a minimum of 6 years of documented operational senior level network engineering experience with expert level understanding of Cisco and Juniper technologies (including, CISCO Unified Call Manager, CISCO Internetwork Operating System 12+, Junos Operating System), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) Routing Protocols.
Qualifications
Clearance requirement: Secret
- A minimum of six (6) years’ experience as a senior level network engineer
Requiredcertifications:
- Maintain a current Cisco Certified Network Processional (CCNP) Routing & Switching
- Juniper Network Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA) or higher
- Must possess qualifications/certifications compliant with the DoD 8140.01
Recent (within the past four years) experience in planning, preparing, implementing, testing, troubleshooting, and documenting equipment/circuits transitioned to a Juniper infrastructure
Must possess the ability to work on classified networks
- Security+ or equivalent for IAT LEVEL II
Preferred but not required:
- Experience in the following technology is desired: • Network Professional Level Routing & Security • Wireless Technologies • IPv6 and dual stacked environments • Solar Winds Network Management and monitoring tools • Junos Space Network Management and monitoring tools • Enterprise level circuit diversity, disaster recovery, and redundancy • Comply to connect technology • Cryptographic devices • Voice over Internet Protocol (IP) technology
