Network Engineer - Mastech Digital

Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking a Network Engineer for our client in the Retail domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth. Duration: 9+ Months Contract

Location: Hybrid-Irving, TX & Enon, OH

Salary: $55.00-$60.00/Hourly (Negotiable-Can be discussed over the phone)

Role: Network Engineer

Primary Skills: Infrastructure

Role Description: The Network Engineer must have 6+ years of experience. 

Responsibilities:

- Deploy and maintain data networks, including local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) elements. 

- Responsible for installation/configuration/maintenance of medium sized data center and large retail network. 

- Responsible for the configuration and management of Juniper/Cisco LAN switches, SolarWinds Network Management servers. 

- Develop policies and procedures as they relate to data and voice technologies, ensures compliance with enterprise policies, procedures, standards, and goals.

- Ability to communicate resolutions in a simple, easy to understand manner.

- Communication skills: Verbal and written – via phone, email, chat, etc.

- Must be able to clearly communicate instructions and current tasks.

- Must be able to describe technical items to non-technical users.

- Ability to help a team member or customer real-time while performing other tasks.

- Passionate about customer support.

- Attention to detail – good organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to lift to 50 lbs, work nights or weekends, as needed, and participate in an on-call rotation.

Additional Skills and Other Requirements:

- 5+ years’ experience with Cisco IOS/Juniper IOS.

- Technology certificate CCNA or higher preferred.

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor’s/4 year Degree.

- 5+ years of relevant work experience.

- 5+ years of Management experience.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent

Experience: Minimum 6+ years of experience

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses
