Network Engineer (CISCO) at Precision Resources

Precision Resources a division of the Trimarc Group Inc., is presently recruiting for a Network Engineer for one of our South Atlanta clients. This is an onsite position. The qualified individual will be responsible for designing, deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting a large scale, multi-site, multi-datacenter network across multiple geographic locations using common LAN/WLAN/WAN technologies.

This PERMANENT POSITION requires working onsite at their datacenter south of Atlanta.
MUST HAVE A  US Citizenship or Green Card.

Compensation:
$80K to $100K

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install and configure routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and servers.
• Configure and manage multiple load balanced WAN connections using common network technologies and protocols.
• Ensure enterprise stability by monitoring network performance and integrity.
• Troubleshoot and coordinate vendor efforts to remediate network and voice performance issues and outages, schedule upgrades and collaborate with vendors on system optimization.
• Help design, implement, and maintain Data Center infrastructure including, but not limited to rack space, power units, cooling units, fire suppression, access control, and structured cabling.
• Help design and document HA / DR procedures.
• Work closely with other IT staff and external vendors to develop new features and influence the future of networking in the organization.
• Maintain a working relationship with Level-1 and Level-2 Technical Support staff to ensure service issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Working as a team with intermediate cabling and hardware infrastructure design and implementation to support network upgrades and expansion. Hands-on implementation requires ability to perform network structured cabling for existing or new build outs.
• Work with business partners to help design, implement, and maintain access control systems.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years industry experience designing, implementing, and supporting Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls. Experience must include concept to production; a demonstrable ability to configure and deploy out of the box core and edge network equipment based on business, security, and systems requirements.
• Knowledgeable in LAN/WAN/WLAN technologies and protocols: MPLS, SD-WAN, VPN, P2P, TCP/IP, EIGRP, BGP, HSRP, NAT, STP, QoS, etc.
• Experienced in designing, installing, and maintaining hardware and software including but not limited to: Cisco ASA, Cisco ASR, Cisco MDS, Cisco C9500, Cisco 4500, Cisco Nexus Switches, Palo Alto Panorama, and Palo Alto NextGen Firewalls.
• A well-developed understanding of network security best practices and industry best practices.
• To assist communications administrator as required, basic understanding of Cisco communication technologies including Communications Manager, Unity Connection, Contact Center Express, Expressway, and Jabber.
• To assist systems administrators as required, advanced knowledge and understanding of enterprise class software and hardware systems including but not limited to Cisco, Meraki, VMware, Microsoft, Linux, and SolarWinds.
• Ability to analyze and recognize opportunities that support organizational development and align with organizational goals. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement solutions and push through challenges to ensure success.
• Proclivity to accept project assignments and learning opportunities that challenge and influence professional self-development.
• A well-developed understanding of network, server, and storage infrastructure design best practices and installation requirements as well as the procedures for troubleshooting issues and performing routine maintenance to ensure Infrastructure SLA of 5 9s uptime year over year.
• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
• Preferred Certifications: Cisco CCNA/CCNP Routing and Switching or CCNA/CCNP Data Center
