About the Job
Provide project management for helpdesk issues, service requests, and projects as assigned. Establish, plan, and coordinate work efforts. Provide technical support to project team members. Handle complex application features and technical designs. Assist with designing and implementing the components required for complex network project designs. Participate in the design, development, and implementation of the network infrastructure including wireless, routing, and routing protocols, NAT, QoS, ACL, firewalls, remote access, and VOIP.
Install, configure, and maintain the organization’s network. Review, plan, and evaluate network systems. Support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software problems pertaining to LAN/WAN. Recommend and schedule repairs. Provide end-user support for all LAN-based applications. Troubleshoot network systems and recommend improvements to the network. Provide documentation/project tracking and management reporting. Provide tactical and strategic input on overall network planning and related projects. Analyze network security and recommend, develop, and deploy security measures to protect information against unauthorized intrusion, modification, or loss.
Analyze WAN functions of the organization. Work to develop, improve, maintain, and implement WAN. Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain WAN equipment. Provide reports, complete requests for new service, determine methodology for installing new service, and determine the appropriateness of moderate equipment changes or modifications, test links, coordinate the install of communication circuits and campus cabling of copper and fiber infrastructure.
Provide support to end users on a variety of issues. Identify, research, and resolve technical problems. Respond to telephone calls, emails, and personnel requests for technical support. Track and monitor the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
Maintain and manage internet web filter, including designing rules, appliance management, daily operation, and support, troubleshooting. Manage the cellular mobility VPN software and hardware.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure environments is required.
Must maintain personal mobile technology as a condition of employment.
Pre-employment drug testing and FBI criminal background check required.
This position is also subject to working in high-security areas governed by the US Department of Justice’s “Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy” and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent criminal background check.
