Network Engineer at New Paradigm Consulting Incorporated

Job Summary 

Monitors, controls, and isolates problems in a data communications network. 

General Responsibilities 

• Monitors all network activity. 
• Activates/deactivates network lines according to established schedules. 
• Incorporate new design/configuration and systems into ongoing operations. 
• Ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined architectures 
• Performs first- and/or second-level problem determination (first level is help desk). Interfaces with users and/or network vendors. 

Job Qualifications 

• Experience working with network systems and networking principles and practices 
• Experience working with networking software and hardware 
• Experience working with security systems and implementation procedures 
• Experience with equipment such as CISCO, Juniper, and Riverbed 

• Ability to derive lower–level requirements from higher–level allocated requirements that describe in detail the functions that a system component must fulfill, ensure these requirements are complete, correct, unique, unambiguous, realizable, and verifiable, and generate alternative system concepts, physical architectures, and design solutions 
• Ability to define the methods, processes, and evaluation criteria by which the systems, subsystems, and work products are verified against their requirements in a written plan 
• Possess Department of Defense (DoD) security access of ADP I, ADP II, or ADP III 
• Familiar with operating won HP, DELL, and Cisco 

CLEARANCE: Must have an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph. Desired: TS/SCI with full-scope polygraph
