Brief Overview of Position:
Strategic Operational Solutions, Inc. (STOPSO) is seeking candidates for a Network and Computer Systems Administrator role to support the United States Air Force (USAF) client where we are focused on delivering support to enable and maintain U.S. military IT systems support. Position requires onsite support at Joint Base Charleston, SC.
Description of Duties:
- Perform as functional system administrators to support and maintain NIPR/SIPR VTC/SVTC systems. Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain current NIPR/SIPR desktop/laptop/tablet/SVTC and mission planning equipment configurations (home-station and deployable unit type code (UTC) within Air Force Networking Operating Center standards on workstations and servers
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain handheld client devices (including but not limited to tablets, and smart phone devices, as applicable)
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain peripheral/pilferable devices, including but not limited to iPhones, smart phones, printers, plotters, monitors, and scanners
- Manage, establish, and maintain user network connections, via physical and wireless (WIFI) connections including router setup/maintenance and troubleshooting
- Support loading and configuration of functional systems including, but not limited to, Global Decision Support System (GDSS), Automated Terminal Information System (ATIS), GTIMS, Airfield Automated System (AFAS), Joint Environmental Toolkit (JET), Target Acquisition Weather Software (TAWS), Jeppeson Navigation Charts Software and Data, Advanced Tactical Airborne Reconnaissance System (ATARS), PRO Time, Microsoft Office Professional, Flight Equipment Records Management System (FERMS). Software must be verified on the approved Air Force or other Government reciprocity site list before installation
- Maintain and support all laptop, printer, scanner, monitor, and computer requirements for the 437 OG primary/secondary/alternate group control centers (GCC) and squadron unit control centers (UCC)
- Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability
- May monitor and test Web site performance to ensure Web sites operate correctly and without interruption
- May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software
- May supervise computer user support specialists and computer network support specialists
Education, Experience, and Security Requirements:
- Possess between 4 to 6 years' experience in Computer Science or related field
- Possess 8570 IAT Level II Certification IAW 8570.01-M - at a minimum of the CompTIA Security+
- Possess an active Secret security clearance
