Network Architect IV- Greenwood Village, CO
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with power systems expertise to lead and support these efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, architect, and develop innovative powering solutions for hybrid fiber-coaxial (HFC) network and consumer premise equipment (CPE).
- Drive the development of solutions impacting power utilization, storage, generation, measurement, and monitoring across HFC network and facilities.
- Improve energy efficiency, reduce operational costs and carbon emissions, and enhance network reliability.
- Collaborate on new revenue and service opportunities in energy, including demand response and virtual power plant applications.
- Partner with network engineers, business analysts, and executives across the Product & Technology organization to realize these innovations.
- Identify opportunities to enhance energy efficiency in HFC networks and architect solutions.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to develop and validate innovative concepts.
- Emphasize operational safety and creative problem-solving in all initiatives.
Required Qualifications/ Experience:
- 5-10 years in Power Systems engineering and architecture..
- 5-10 years in technology management, working with vendors and cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Expertise in power systems analysis and electrical power transmission/distribution grids.
- Knowledge of renewable energy (solar, energy storage, microgrids) and virtual power plant concepts.
- Familiarity with HFC network architecture and technologies, including quasi-square wave and switched-mode power supplies.
- Software automation proficiency, including SNMP-based remote management.
- Strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in tools like PowerPoint, Visio, and similar visualization/communication platforms.
- Effective organization and prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
- Rapid adaptability to new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with scripting and software development.
