The government client has an immediate need for a Network Architect in Albany, NY.
Description:
Network Architect to design, configure and maintain the network architecture.
Daily Tasks will include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist with designing and maintaining ITS & Network architecture for the EHR, Cyber Remediation, and other client initiatives.
- Mentor and assist other Network Engineers, both state and consultant, providing guidance for debugging, troubleshooting, securing and deploying applications, data access, data communications and system architecture configurations.
- Diagnose and debug production issues reported via ITSM. Escalate critical calls as necessary and join bridge calls to assist in diagnosis.
Mandatory Qualification:
- Designs and implements computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks. Performs network modeling, analysis, and planning.
- Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
- 84 months configuring and troubleshooting LAN Networking equipment in a complex networking environment of at least 1,000 remote endpoints that includes switches, routers/firewalls and VPN devices. This includes troubleshooting issues using protocol analysis tools (i.e. Wireshark) and conducting in-depth analysis on network data captures.
- 84 months Analytical and Technical knowledge of DMVPN, IPSec, OSPF/BGP is required.
- 84 months supporting and troubleshooting 4G/5G modem technologies. Multi-vendor experience is preferred.
- 84 months experience with Cisco hardware and Cisco IOS software in a complex TCP/IP environment including routing, port forwarding/NAT, VPN management.
- 60 months experience supporting and configuring wireless network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Ubiquiti, Aruba.
- 60 months experience working with business users to:
- Understand their business requirements and implement technical solutions to meet those requirements
- Work as a member of a team that includes both technical and business users
- Manage changing priorities
- Communicate between business users and technical resources
- 48 months experience configuring and managing network equipment using centralized management consoles (i.e. Cisco IoT Dashboard, Cisco Meraki, etc.). This includes keeping firmware up to date and standardizing device configuration.
