12+ years of related experience and a Minimum of 5+ years of experience configuring and maintaining network infrastructure components such as switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and network management tools.
Required Experience with network management, analysis, and troubleshooting tools.
Required Knowledge of data center management practices and principles.
Required experience of security management strategies; experience with DISA STIGs preferred but not required.
BS degree with 12 yrs exp or 10 yrs and a Masters
CompTIA Security+ Certified

DUTIES:
The Sr. Network Administrator you will focus on the implementation and sustainment of switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and network management tools in a datacenter environment supporting two separate DoD networks.
Your responsibilities will include network management, analysis, troubleshooting, developing, and maintaining local operating procedures and policies, developing, and maintaining network automation and scripts, and monitoring the ongoing operation of the network.
Implement and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and network management tools to ensure optimal performance and availability.
Conduct thorough network management, analysis, and troubleshooting, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
Develop and maintain local operating procedures, policies, and automation scripts to enhance network functionality and operational efficiency.
Monitor and evaluate network performance continuously, taking preventive and corrective actions to ensure uninterrupted operation.
Train and mentor junior team members, fostering growth and knowledge sharing within the team.
Design and implement robust security management strategies, ensuring compliance with DoD security standards and best practices.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including standard operating procedures, project plans, and detailed network diagrams.
