Role Description
Maxwell Group, Inc. is searching for a full-time IT Professional to support our multiple businesses in the senior housing and care industry. The Network Administrator will be responsible for network administration, troubleshooting, system administration, network security, and providing technical support. We are looking for a positive and eager candidate to complement our existing small but tenured IT team. Foundational experience/knowledge in network management is required at a minimum. Cisco Meraki, VMWare, Veeam, and O365 experience is highly desired.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Execute network planning activities, configure data communications equipment, maintain network infrastructure, support project requirements, and business growth.
- Operate and maintain network computing and performance environments, monitoring tools, documentation, and diagrams supporting the associated maintenance and configuration processes.
- Analyze network performance metrics, highlight deficiencies, and develop solutions for implementation.
- Provide high-level technical support and solutions to customers, end-users, help desk, and internal network staff.
- Participate in corporate architecture planning initiatives.
- Build and configure network devices and firewalls within specified requirements and performance standards.
- Responsible for ensuring network devices adhere to archival, disaster recovery, and security event company policies.
- Engage in regular network troubleshooting activities and resolve connectivity issues.
- Ensure supported systems, code, configurations, and documentation comply with internal and external governing laws, policies, and compliance measures.
Skills, Knowledge, & Expertise for the Job: Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience as a network administrator, network engineer, or network architect.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge of IT best practices and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and operating systems (Windows 10, 11 workstations).
- Experience working with Cisco Meraki, HP switches, and firewalls.
- Experience monitoring, administering and reporting on LAN / WAN networking components, network circuits and diagrams, wiring, and remote access.
- Demonstrated ability to configure and deploy Cisco Meraki firewalls.
- Hands-on technical and troubleshooting experience with multi-location LAN / WAN, TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, VOIP, IP Telephony, and group policies.
Nice to Have's:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Network Operations and Security, or a related field.
- Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are not required but nice to have.
- Cisco, O365 certifications are not required but nice to have.
