Responsibilities
This job opening is to fill a Network IT Administrator position located in Bath, Maine. The candidate will provide daily support IT support services for the Fleet Introduction Project as well as local IT staff, contractor staff and U.S. Naval personnel at four locations (Pascagoula, MS; Bath, ME; Norfolk, VA and San Diego CA). This project provides Pre-commissioning (PCU / PCD) support to ship's force for administrative and technical services. Fleet Introduction work is performed in an integrated support team environment that includes government and Noblis teams that work closely with Program Executive Offices (PEOs) Ships, Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Shipbuilders and U.S. Naval personnel.
Professionals in network administration are responsible for managing and maintaining computer networks to ensure reliable and secure connectivity for users and devices. They utilize their expertise in network technologies, protocols, and security practices to design, implement, and optimize network infrastructure and services. Typical responsibilities include configuring and maintaining network devices, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, monitoring network performance and traffic patterns, and troubleshooting network issues to identify and resolve connectivity and performance problems. Network administration roles also involve implementing network security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs, to protect against cyber threats and unauthorized access. Additionally, professionals may plan and execute network upgrades and migrations, perform network capacity planning, and provide technical support and training to end-users and other IT staff. Their expertise in areas such as network design, routing and switching, network protocols, and network management tools enables organizations to maintain robust and scalable network infrastructure that supports business operations and enables seamless communication and collaboration.
You are responsible for learning and using Noblis’ standard principles, concepts, processes, structure, techniques, tools, and methodologies to solve routine real-world problems using basic skills. As a Career Band 1 employee, you apply particular project or technical/functional area knowledge and concepts and operate with close supervision, following direction and guidance from others. You engage independently in activities such as research, data gathering, data manipulation and interpretation; you consolidate findings and identify key themes from gathered data and analysis. You begin to demonstrate personal flexibility through learning and self-development and the ability to communicate effectively with others.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Applied Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, or an associate’s degree with 3+ years of technical experience.
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance or have an Active Security Clearance SSBI/T5 would be preferred,
- Active Security + Certification & a Windows Server 2019 Certification or higher or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Hold and retain an SCA (Site Collection Admin) certificate and Hold and retain an TA (Trusted Agent) certificate

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.
