Position Description:
MSREI is seeking to hire a Net Lease Acquisitions Professional at the Vice President or Associate level who can help drive Net Lease real estate equity acquisitions efforts. Working closely with the Head of Acquisitions and the Head of Credit for MSREI’s dedicated Net Lease vehicle, this hire would be an integral contributor to MSREI’s investment efforts.
Importantly, this professional will contribute to the investment strategy, framework, and process of evaluation for MSREI’s Net Lease real estate equity investments. He / She will be responsible for sourcing and executing new investment opportunities. From a talent leadership perspective, the Net Lease Acquisitions Professional will help to train and mentor junior team members. Professionals across the global MSREI team and broader Morgan Stanley platform frequently collaborate, therefore this investment professional will be responsible for leveraging Morgan Stanley’s professionals, enhanced market intelligence, deal flow, due diligence, and research resources, which offers significant competitive advantages. The role is based in New York.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Working in conjunction with the broader senior leadership team, help to establish differentiated Net Lease investment strategy, including thought leadership and thesis developments around MSREI’s Net Lease efforts.
· Help to drive the Net Lease investment process, including sourcing, analyzing, structuring, monitoring, and exiting investments.
· Source and execute attractive opportunities that fit the Firm’s investment mandate.
· Develop and maintain a strong network to support the sourcing of deals and position MSREI as a successful bidder in a competitive situation.
· Ability to collaborate and fully integrate with and leverage the Firm’s real estate platforms and the broader Morgan Stanley ecosystem.
· Become a thought leader in Net Lease internally and externally.
· Mentor and training junior team members.
Qualifications:
· B.A./B.S. required; MBA degree a plus.
· At least 5+ years of Net Lease investing experience.
· Passion for all aspects of real estate investing and demonstrates commercial discipline and sophisticated investment approach required to make financially attractive investments.
· Established track record of sourcing and executing Net Lease real estate transactions (acquisitions and dispositions).
· Strong reputation and existing network in the Net Lease industry.
· Deep understanding of real estate fundamentals with strong intuition around valuation.
· Well-honed investment judgement and commercial acumen.
· Rigorous analytical skills, strong financial acumen,andexcellentattention to detail.

Wage Transparency Statement
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit program
