The NDT Inspector plays a key role in maintaining high-quality standards while complying with GA Telesis processes. The NDI Inspector is responsible for ensuring that inspections are performed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instruction, NDI Manual of GA Telesis CRG, and/or ASTM requirements as applicable. This position is located in Miami, Florida.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
- Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
- Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
- Communication: excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
- Conduct NDT for the acceptance of parts and document the results if a demonstration of proficiency in this ability was included in the practical examination
- Have a general knowledge of other NDT methods, product manufacturing, and inspection technologies used by the employer
- Record all inspection functions on applicable paperwork in accordance with the customer policies and procedures
- Analytical skills: must be able to gather information and use data to determine cause and effect for complex problem solving
- Verify that routine inspections and checks the NDI equipment are accomplished as per the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Ensuring that the inspection tools and equipment, including inspection aids used to perform inspections, are in proper working order and the proper calibration information is affixed.
- Perform Quality Control Inspections as required.
- Landing Gear inspection experiences, a plus for this role.
- Other duties as instructed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED
- Level II Certification in both MT, and PT
- Quality inspection, aerospace, aircraft inspection, NDT, Ultrasonic, NDT Level 2
- Level II certification for one or more applicable NDT disciplines
