Job Description:
- Interrogate, analyze, comprehend, and interpret various Engineering Drawings, Models, Bills of Materials, Technical Specifications, Quality Documents, Bell Process Framework, and departmental procedures as necessary to perform assigned work.
- Provides MCAD operational models and 2D drawings for manufacturing process
planning sequences as required - Provide process liaison support for manufacturing operations when MCAD models
with 2D drawings exist as required - Develops, Creates and Maintains Tooling/Fixture definition for manufacturing
operations for all media types including MCAD and manual legacy designs - Executes creation and maintenance of CAM programs and operator instructions for
Numerical Controlled equipment - Responsible for developing, creating, and maintaining Loft MCAD models, flat
patterns and associated digital tooling programs - Working knowledge of NC Programming, Loft, Engineering, Tool Design
- Manufacturing and Planning processes and procedures
- Skilled in the concept related to the application of GD&T/Aerospace tolerances
- Supports producibility assessments when requested
- Maintains records and schedules of work assigned
- Will meet established company cost control standards, schedule and quality requirements to maintain market competitiveness
- Provide technical assistance to procurement and suppliers as determined by management
- Execute strong communication skills, both verbal and written, required to communicate and interact between internal and external customers
- Apply extensive aircraft manufacturing knowledge and be prepared to train, direct,
instruct, mentor and check/validate Production Engineering work - Required to attend training and complete competency-based testing as required by
management to remain current with technological advancements
Qualifications:
- Four (4) years college or eight (8) years of experience in the aircraft industry
