SUMMARY
Join a growing company in the Electrical Industry space with a company that respects the quality of life of the employees. In this role you will be responsible to manage the Regional Sales Managers, work with the sales representative, customer service and visit key client customers.
This position has total responsibility for unit level sales and marketing functions and the role requires location in the Boston area as visibility in the office is a must.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide departmental leadership to ensure employee participation, training, innovation and continuous improvement commensurate with ISO requirements.
Oversee the development and implementation of sales policies and procedures by the sales organization.
Establish and manage the implementation and successful execution of departmental budgets and goals as approved by the Business Unit General Manager.
Provide hands on management of all regional sales managers and customer service representatives.
Travel a minimum of 25% of workdays, visiting customers, sales representative firms and auditing the effectiveness of the RSMs and the sales processes.
Administer, develop and implement product line strategies, with supporting systems and processes.
Oversee the compilation and interpretation of market data to support decisions and generate key performance indicators.
Monitor and report on actual bookings to forecast and set proactive product line strategies by major market segments to achieve goals.
Develop and submit for approval an annual advertising plan and budget for execution.
Provide effective management of Rep Firms including commission policy, sales credits, performance assessment and actions as required to achieve company and sales objectives.
Oversee the development and implementation of training programs to support Customers and Manufacturing Reps.
Develop and manage the implement of product pricing and pricing policies to ensure uniformity of pricing and maximization of profitability.
Develop an annual strategic sales plan and report results each quarter.
Manage the customer contract pricing process to maximize sales and profitability.
Interface directly with major customers.
Ensure customer account coverage and satisfaction through Best Practices development, implementation and management of department resources.
Ensure workplace safety in areas of responsibility.
Ensure management is informed on key issues.
Manage International accounts and ensure they the fully supported and receive quotes and pricing updates as required.
Assume other activities and responsibilities as directed.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering with an MBA preferred. A minimum of five years technical hands-on experience and ten years sales and marketing experience in a management role with both direct sales forces as well as manufacturer's representatives.
Candidates should be proficient at MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
