With plans for expansion, they need a National Sales Director to contribute their expertise, leadership, and network to guide a successful sales team and increase revenue streams for all lines of business.

Position is mostly remote.
Main Responsibilities:
Manage, mentor and assist sales teams in acquisition of new business and retention/expansion of existing accounts.
Participate in creation of national sales budgets and goals.
Develop strategies to meet revenue, profit, and volume targets.
Explore and plan entry into new markets and verticals.
Provide sales forecasts and monitor actuals vs projections.
Tap into existing relationships to bring forth new opportunities.
Design solutions to improve clients' supply chains.
Travel up to 50 percent for client and Company meetings.
Collaborate with marketing team and manage CRM system.
Handle special projects or assignments as requested.

Requirements:
At least 10 years of freight forwarding/logistics/transportation sales experience.
Solid understanding of ocean freight, airfreight, Transpacific trades, Customs brokerage, warehousing/distribution, IT, and value-added global logistics services.
Fluency in Japanese - verbal, written, reading.

Track record of success winning profitable TPEB/TPWB business and generating revenue.
Management skills including supervising sales teams, coaching, and obtaining buy-in for new strategies, goals and procedures.
Strong industry network, and connections with importers and exporters who could be introduced to the Company.
