Dermalogica is looking for a National Account Director - Sephora to join our best-in-class team! In this new role, you will direct, manage, and drive activities for our partner Sephora, consistent with and The International Dermal Institute (IDI) business philosophy and values. You will manage all aspects of strategic planning, marketing implementation and tactical execution with Sephora by working effectively with teams throughout the Dermalogica and Sephora organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create business strategies and marketing action plans to consistently win at Sephora and stand out from the competition
- Identify opportunities and challenges to create strategies to maximize sell through, profit, revenue, and market share
- Identify, develop, and negotiate new opportunities
- Develop and execute quarterly and annual business plans in partnership with Sephora
- Regularly assess performance against goals. Communicate and update US General Manager and CEO with strategic account information and initiatives as required
- Assume the lead role in the preparation and delivery of customer presentations
- Leverage growth without relying on discounts via events, .com, social, social media support, exclusives and key partnerships
- Analyze and understand industry market trends, competition, products, packaging, and pricing that may impact sales efforts and communicate as necessary within the organization
- Regular assessment of current state of account; inventory management; competition within the target; key decision makers; issues/pain points within the account and within the customer’s marketplace; potential solutions and products; opportunity for new product and service offerings; and action plan to optimize potential throughout the assigned accounts
- Disseminate reports to measure account performance, identifying, formulating, and implementing strategies to maximize sales opportunities to increase profitable sales performance
- Communicate effectively throughout the organization
- Conduct monthly business reviews
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Managerial and .com experience required
- Minimum 7 years of progressive account sales management or marketing experience within the consumer goods, professional skin/hair (manufacturer or distributor) industries
- National account retail management and/or retail marketing experience required
- Sephora corporate management experience highly desirable
- Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent management skills - ability to interface with a wide range of individuals
- Excellent problem-solving skills - quickly identify and work through obstacles
- Conceptual thinking - can integrate various sources of information into one coherent idea
- Superior execution abilities - deliver what needs to be done to meet objectives, prioritizes and plans work actions, establishes and meets goals and objectives
- Innovative - displays original thinking and creativity; meets challenges with resourcefulness and with positivity
- Strategic thinker - must be able to create and execute a strategy for accounts yet revise plans in mid- course if necessary
- Up to 25% travel expected
The position is based at the corporate headquarters in Carson, CA, with applicable hybrid on-site guidelines. The expected base salary range for this position is $140,000-$170,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, and budget. This role is eligible for participation in our company bonus plan, rewarding personal performance and company results.
