Position Overview: National Account Manager
Do you love to win? The National Account Manager is responsible for driving sales and growing market share with large national and key accounts customers. This sales role partners with promotional products distributors and independent multi-line reps to build a book of business and achieve territory revenue goals.
As a senior member of the sales team, this role is expected to build and execute strategic plans for key accounts to deliver profitable sales and expand brand presence. This position operates primarily at C-Suite levels with targeted accounts in the territory. Deep industry relationships are key to this role, supported by excellence in product solutions, as well as the ability to hit outbound metrics and generate sales opportunities, acting as the face of Storm Creek to maintain a strong pipeline and grow accounts.

Essential Job Functions:
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and execute account-specific strategic plans designed to increase sales, market share, and brand awareness.
- Effectively collaborate with the Director of Sales to plan and execute strategic plans with excellence.
- Align strategic plans with stakeholders of key accounts.
- Manage, direct, and review strategic plans with key accounts quarterly.
- Monitor current industry trends and develop channel-specific initiatives to drive sales through industry engagement and competitor voids with current and prospective distributors and buying groups.
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop and execute the in-market strategy to maximize exposure, drive brand awareness, and highlight Storm Creek's value proposition.
Build Relationships:
- Work closely with national and key distributor accounts at the executive level and top-producing distributor sales reps to plan and execute sell-through activities.
- Proactive planning and collaboration with independent multi-line reps to result in mutually productive sales growth.
- Attend tradeshows and partner with multi-line reps to grow relationships, increase brand awareness, and prospect for opportunities.
- Target, profile, and work to convert key prospective distributors and their reps into customers and leverage customer-centric programs.
- Engage in a customer-centric discovery approach that uncovers pain points and needs while highlighting Storm Creek's differentiators.
Data Management:
- Review monthly sales and inventory data to seek opportunities to create sell-through and area-specific programs.
- Monitor and own KPI metrics.
- Through CRM adoption, accurately report proactive outreach, utilize the sales process, create follow-up tasks, and note all relevant customer interactions.
- Maintain current and clean records in CRM.
Educate and Communicate:
- Schedule and facilitate discovery meetings to uncover needs, present product lines, and educate current and prospective customers about Storm Creek and sustainability.
- Know and understand products at an expert level and apply knowledge to create best-in-class solutions for customers.
- Maintain a solid working knowledge of Storm Creek's competitive products.
Attend Events and Network:
- Assist in trade show strategy and attend shows relevant to the book of business. Create ROI for each show through sales, contacts, and future opportunities.
- Participate in industry networking and community engagement.
- Host existing and prospective customers at the Storm Creek showroom.
Team Expectations:
- Lead by example and mentor other members of the sales and customer service teams.
- Actively participate in sales team functions, weekly L10 meetings, 1x1s, and daily huddles.
- Assist with other projects and duties as needed.
- Exemplify Storm Creek values when working with both internal and external customers.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales, or related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in sales with proven performance.
- Experience in the promotional product or retail apparel sector is a plus.
- Comfortable making outbound sales calls.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with diligent follow-through.
- Ability to engage at all levels within an organization.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain lasting relationships.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Ability to travel (approximately 25%-30%).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

In addition to your base compensation, you may be eligible for commissions based on specific sales goals and objectives.
