Multi-Craft Technician (Provide maintenance support for electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems) Location: Alsip, IL Salary: $35.00 - $42.00/hour Shifts Available: 2nd shift and 3rd shift

Role Summary: Randstad is seeking a Multi-Craft Technician to support the manufacturing floor with comprehensive maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems. This role involves PLC programming, safety compliance, and technical repairs to ensure production efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Thorough knowledge of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.

• Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing PLCs, numerical controls, power supplies, drives, and HMI systems.

• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and specifications.

• strong problem-solving and technical repair skills.

• Commitment to safety standards and PPE compliance.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Pay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties safely, reporting any potentially dangerous conditions to the supervisor.

• Start up and shut down equipment per operation requirements and OSHA guidelines.

• Provide technical support for PLCs and network interfaces, including programming and circuit design.

• Perform PLC diagnostics, calibration, maintenance, and repair of electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment.

• Receive and interpret wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications for repair and installation tasks.

• Plan repair procedures and determine materials or replacements needed.

• Service electronic equipment by checking, testing, and replacing faulty components.

• Install and maintain communication cables, power distribution cables, and perform splicing.

• Develop training programs and documents for control system knowledge transfer.

• Comply with all safety practices, including PPE usage.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• manual lifting up to 40lbs

• standing for 8 hours at one time
