WE LOVE OUR WORK.:SUMMARY Oversee all aspects of the HVAC system operations for Hollywood Casino’s Central Pa locations, also supporting our York and Morgantown locations. Travel will be required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.
- The position will lead and manage Central Pa’s team of HVAC technicians: Provide technical guidance, training, mentorship, and performance oversight to ensure the team delivers high-quality work.
- The position will perform preventative maintenance on the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning system and perform repairs to system to assist in reaching profitability, guest satisfaction, workforce strength, and compliance goals.
- Plan and schedule the installation, commissioning, and testing of new HVAC equipment.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs: Design and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance programs to optimize system performance, reliability, and identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Maintain documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all HVAC equipment in our CMMS system
- Clean HVAC units based on the manufacturer's recommendation, or as the need arises.
- Perform routine maintenance on all HVAC units, including changing filters, belts, and other parts when needed, or as recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
- Track Freon, changing out major parts, such as compressors, fan motors, and complete units when necessary.
- Daily tracking of parts, repairs, and maintenance schedules of all HVAC equipment.
- Responsible for setting up HVAC shop/working area and assisting with keeping the work area clean and professionally organized.
- Use lock out/tag out system when performing scheduled maintenance or making repairs to HVAC units
- Learn the operational procedures for controlling the temperature and air quality in the casino’s, all public areas, and back-of-house areas.
- Re-set temperatures and air changes as directed by management.
- Respond to requests from other department managers and follow up with phone call or personal contact to ensure the comfort level of guests and team members.
- Travel will be required.

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 8 years of experience working on HVAC systems in a commercial or industrial setting
- High School Diploma/GED; Associate/Technical Degree preferred; 10 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have commercial HVAC background in maintenance, repairs, or installation.
- Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies, and community members.
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Must have the ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals.
- Must have the ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, and guests.
- Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Must have the ability to write reports.
- Must have the ability to perform basic math skills.
- Must have the ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply concepts to practical situations.
- Must have the ability to perform simple estimates for material quantities and costs.
- Must have the ability to identify problems, collect data, analyze, and draw valid conclusions.
- Must have the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
- Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
- Must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions (i.e., written, oral, etc.).
- Must have the ability to understand HVAC Schematics and electrical data furnished on each HVAC unit and with the equipment specifications.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Must know or have the ability to learn how to operate the building management software program.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Must qualify for a license with the Pennsylvania State Racing Commission and meet any credentialing requirements of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
- Must possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License.
- Must hold any license required by the U.S. D.E.P. and any other local or state regulatory agencies to use and track Freon.
